Intel Core i5-1235U Processor Performance

The Intel Core i5-1235U is a 12th Generation Intel Core processor with 10 cores and 12 threads, capable of reaching speeds up to 4.4GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology. Its hybrid architecture is designed to balance responsive performance with efficient everyday operation.

This processor is well suited to office applications, spreadsheets, web browsing, business software, presentations, online meetings, and general multitasking. Actual performance depends on the software being used, workload, thermal conditions, and system configuration.

8GB DDR4 Memory

The HP 24-CB1490 includes 8GB DDR4-3200 memory in a 1 × 8GB configuration. This provides a practical starting point for office applications, internet browsing, communication, multimedia, and routine multitasking.

The platform includes two SODIMM slots, providing an upgrade path for compatible memory configurations. Users working with large datasets, demanding applications, or extensive multitasking should consider their RAM requirements before deployment.

512GB PCIe NVMe SSD Storage

The 512GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD provides fast storage for the operating system, applications, documents, presentations, photos, videos, and other files. NVMe solid-state storage helps improve startup times, application loading, and general system responsiveness compared with traditional mechanical hard drives.

The 512GB capacity provides practical storage for everyday home and business workloads. Actual available capacity is lower than the advertised figure because the operating system, recovery data, applications, and system files occupy part of the drive.

Dedicated NVIDIA GeForce MX450 Graphics

The NVIDIA GeForce MX450 with 2GB dedicated GDDR5 memory gives the HP 24-CB1490 additional graphics capability compared with an all-in-one relying solely on integrated graphics. Dedicated graphics memory helps handle compatible graphical applications, multimedia workloads, photo editing, and other GPU-accelerated tasks.

The MX450 is designed for mainstream mobile and desktop multimedia workloads rather than high-end workstation or modern AAA gaming performance. Actual graphics performance varies according to software, resolution, graphics settings, drivers, and workload requirements.

23.8-Inch Full HD IPS Touchscreen

The 23.8-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen provides a 1920 × 1080 resolution with wide viewing angles for documents, presentations, web content, photographs, and multimedia. The three-sided micro-edge design gives the display a modern appearance while maintaining a large usable viewing area.

Touch capability provides an additional method of interacting with compatible applications and Windows features after a supported operating system is installed. The anti-glare surface helps reduce reflections, while the 250-nit brightness and 72% NTSC colour gamut are suited to general productivity and multimedia use.

1080p FHD IR Privacy Camera

The integrated HP Wide Vision 1080p FHD IR privacy camera provides higher-resolution video capture for compatible video conferencing applications. The integrated privacy functionality helps users control camera access when the camera is not required.

The camera is paired with dual-array digital microphones, providing an integrated solution for online meetings, video calls, remote learning, and business communication. Features such as IR authentication depend on the installed operating system and supported software.

DOS Operating System Flexibility

This configuration is supplied with DOS rather than a preinstalled Windows desktop environment. This gives businesses and experienced users the flexibility to install their preferred compatible operating system and deploy their own software image.

DOS configurations can be useful for organisations that maintain standard operating-system images or have specific licensing and IT deployment requirements. The required operating-system licence, drivers, applications, and configuration should be arranged separately where applicable.

Connectivity & Peripheral Integration

The HP 24-CB1490 provides practical connectivity for everyday desktop use, including USB Type-A ports, USB 2.0 ports, HDMI output, an audio combo jack, and RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet. These connections support compatible storage devices, keyboards, mice, displays, headsets, networking equipment, and other peripherals.

The documented configuration uses a Realtek RTL8822CE wireless solution for wireless networking and compatible Bluetooth devices. Wireless performance depends on the network environment, connected devices, distance, interference, and router or access-point capabilities.

Keyboard, Mouse & Ready-to-Use Setup

The supplied HP 225 Black Wired Keyboard and HP 225 Black Wired Mouse provide the essential input devices for everyday desktop operation. The English keyboard layout is suitable for standard business, administrative, educational, and home-computing workflows.

Combined with the integrated display, speakers, camera, and microphones, the all-in-one format reduces the number of separate components required for a conventional desktop setup.

Space-Saving All-in-One Design

The HP 24-CB1490 combines its computing hardware and 23.8-inch display in one integrated enclosure, helping reduce desk clutter compared with a traditional desktop tower and separate monitor. Its three-sided micro-edge display contributes to a clean and modern appearance.

This form factor is particularly practical for office desks, reception areas, home workspaces, educational environments, and other locations where efficient use of desk space is important.
