WQHD Resolution for Detailed Gaming and Entertainment

The 2560 × 1440 WQHD resolution provides a higher level of detail than standard 1920 × 1080 Full HD. On the 31.5-inch screen, this resolution provides additional workspace for multitasking while displaying detailed textures, environments, and on-screen elements in compatible games.

The 16:9 aspect ratio makes the monitor suitable for PC gaming, movies, streaming, general computing, and productivity applications. WQHD output at high refresh rates depends on the capabilities of the connected graphics card, device, cable, and selected input.

170Hz Refresh Rate and 1ms MPRT Response Time

The 170Hz refresh rate allows the monitor to display up to 170 refreshes per second when configured with a compatible connection and supported signal. This can provide smoother motion and more responsive visual feedback than conventional 60Hz displays, particularly in competitive and fast-paced games.

The 1ms MPRT response time is intended to reduce perceived motion blur. Actual motion clarity depends on the selected monitor settings, frame rate, response characteristics, and the content being displayed. The advertised response time should not be interpreted as a guarantee of zero input lag.

1500R Curved VA Panel

The 1500R curvature creates a wraparound viewing experience that can make games and entertainment feel more immersive. The curved design is especially useful for a large 31.5-inch screen, where it helps bring the edges of the display into the user's field of view.

VA panel technology provides a typical 3000:1 contrast ratio, helping distinguish darker areas from brighter highlights. This can be beneficial in atmospheric games, movies, and other content with high contrast between light and shadow.

Adaptive Sync for Smoother Gameplay

Adaptive Sync technology helps coordinate the monitor's refresh rate with compatible graphics hardware. When supported and properly configured, this can reduce screen tearing and visual stuttering when frame rates fluctuate during gameplay.

Actual Adaptive Sync functionality depends on the connected graphics hardware, drivers, connection type, and software settings. For the highest supported WQHD refresh rate, MSI specifies DisplayPort connectivity with DP overclocking. HDMI supports WQHD up to 144Hz according to the manufacturer's specifications.

Colour Reproduction and Anti-Glare Viewing

The monitor supports 1.07 billion displayed colours using 8-bit + FRC and offers a wide stated colour gamut. These characteristics help produce colourful gaming environments, detailed images, and vivid entertainment content.

The anti-glare surface helps reduce reflections from ambient lighting. The 178° horizontal and vertical viewing-angle specification also supports viewing from different positions, although perceived contrast and colour can vary depending on viewing angle and room lighting.

HDMI, DisplayPort and VESA Mounting

The MSI G32CQ4 E2 includes two HDMI 2.0b ports and one DisplayPort 1.2a connection, providing flexibility for compatible desktop computers, laptops, and other supported video sources. A headphone output is available for connecting compatible audio equipment.

The monitor supports a 100 × 100mm VESA mounting pattern, allowing installation on a compatible monitor arm or wall mount. Its supplied stand provides tilt adjustment from -5° to 20°. Check the mount's weight rating and compatibility before installation.
